Manpower UK Ltd is seeking a permanent Site Manager for our client, offering brand new facilities and a chance to be part of a growing company making a positive impact on the environment.

Our client believes that yesterday's cooking oils should become tomorrow's energy and that business waste can be recycled into green energy to power festivals or support our National Grid. Through pioneering technology, they recover a waste product that previously went down the drain and turn it into a source of income while keeping kitchens and waterways clean and efficient.

Travel: Travel to other depots will be required during training periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the site, ensuring the smooth running of all warehouse and logistical activities.
  2. Leading a team of warehouse and driving staff including training, performance management, and motivation.
  3. Accountable for all safety, compliance, and quality standards being met.
  4. Maintain a high level of staff performance and productivity.
  5. Manage and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  6. Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the site, equipment, and vehicles.
  7. Prepare and submit reports to senior management on site operations, performance, and KPIs.
  8. Continuously monitor and evaluate site performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
Requirements:
  1. Full UK Driving Licence.
  2. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
  3. Counterbalance / Reach FLT Licence (preferred).
  4. Experience in logistics or supply chain management, specifically site lead managing a team of Drivers.
  5. Experience in managing a small logistics operation in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service and meeting KPIs.
  7. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  8. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  9. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  11. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  12. Flexibility and adaptability.
  13. Strong customer service orientation.
