Here at Sitting Pretty we design and engineer the highest quality riser recliner chairs and motion furniture in the UK.

Due to continuing growth we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid Forklift Licence at our busy factory in South Normanton DE55 2FX.

**DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY**

A Warehouse Operative is responsible for handling goods and products that come and go through a warehouse on a daily basis.

They will report directly to the Warehouse Manager.

**RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES**
- Taking deliveries of goods and supplies.
- Checking for damaged or missing items.
- Storing goods in line with instructions.
- Moving stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck.
- Daily inspection, maintaining and cleaning of forklifts and other warehouse equipment to set standards.
- Loading goods for dispatch.
- Stock keeping.
- Keeping paperwork and computer systems up to date.
- Cleaning work areas and maintaining health and safety standards in accordance with the policy and procedures of the company.
- Reporting to the warehouse manager any faults, issues or concerns in relation to the working environment.
- Reach Forklift & Counterbalance.

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Valid Reach Forklift license (Must Have).
- Valid Counterbalance License (Must Have).
- Able to meet the physical demands of the role.
- Good team working skills.
- Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently as well as being able to work on your own initiative as and when required.
- An understanding of health and safety regulations is an advantage.
- Must hold an accredited in date forklift license for Reach and Counterbalance Forklift.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Secondary education or equivalent

Monday-Thursday 6am-14:30pm & Friday 6am-12pm

Must have a full UK driving licence points will be considered.

Must be physically fit, hard working and reliable, overtime is available as and when required
