About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Youth Support Worker to join our team at Shaw Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing social, emotional, and mental health support to young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day care and support to young people, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Assist in daily routines, including daily living activities and medication administration as required.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and support for young people.
  • Organise and participate in recreational activities to promote socialisation and well-being.
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment that promotes positive relationships and emotional growth.
Requirements
  • Commitment to working a shift pattern, including sleep-in duties and overtime, Monday to Sunday.
  • Full UK driving licence.
What You'll Bring
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives.
  • A willingness to work towards or current qualification in QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
  • Previous experience providing emotional and behavioural support in a professional setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
