Job Title: Clinical Psychologist in Paediatrics

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Paediatric Psychology Team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological services to children and young people with medical needs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive clinical psychology services to inpatient and outpatient children, young people, and their families.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, monitoring outcomes and making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues to ensure the systematic provision of a highly specialist psychology service.
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to non-psychology colleagues as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology accepted by the HCPC for professional registration.
  • Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist, with evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Additional training in a specialised area of psychological practice, such as working with children with chronic illness and their families.
  • Completed training course in clinical supervision.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience of working with children with chronic illness and their families.
  • Experience of supervision of junior psychologists.
  • Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health issues.
  • Doctoral level knowledge of psychological research methodology and complex statistical analysis.
