Your Role as a Mechanical Fitter

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant machinery, including fixed plants, to ensure smooth and efficient operation.



Your tasks will include:
  • Maintaining and repairing crushers, shredders, conveyors, and rollers to minimize downtime and enhance performance.
  • Operating and loading machinery such as shivers and backactors as part of day-to-day tasks.
  • Providing hands-on mechanical support across various equipment to maintain high operational standards.
  • Collaborating with the team to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:



* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter with a strong mechanical bias.
* Hands-on experience working with screeners, crushers, and other plant machinery.
* A background in agriculture or similar fields, with familiarity in operating heavy equipment.
* Skilled in maintaining and repairing a variety of machinery, including loaders, backactors, and JCBs.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and effectively
* Commutable to Scunthorpe

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £38,500 - £40,000 per annum, plus OTE up to £55,000, overtime pay, holidays, and opportunities for progression and training.
