Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising pupils, ensuring they are engaged in classwork, and promoting good behavior. You will work closely with teachers to prepare lessons and provide feedback on pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, ensuring they remain on task and engaged.
  • Encourage pupils to interact with each other and with the teacher.
  • Support pupils in becoming more independent in their learning.
  • Establish trust with pupils, interacting with them according to individual needs.
  • Assist pupils with tasks as needed, providing guidance and support.
  • Create a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Promote good behavior, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policies.
  • Collect completed work and return it to the teacher.
  • Assist with supervision of pupils before and after school and at break times.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and achievement.
  • Uphold policies and procedures related to child protection, health, and confidentiality.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of education and a passion for supporting students. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
