Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our global operations, driving strategic plans to optimize our operations and supply chain management processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site managers, overseeing all aspects of operations, and ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operations and supply chain management processes
- Accountable for budget setting and meeting business financial targets
- Assess commercial viability of opportunities and provide insight to the board of directors
- Oversee all aspects of operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and procurement
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements
- Map the entire value chain and devise holistic technological/process innovations
- Ensure customer SLAs are understood, measured, and maintained
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to operations managers
- Encourage and promote a continuous improvement culture
- Accountable for all HSE matters on site
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a highly experienced and ambitious individual with a strong background in operations management, preferably in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a subject related to engineering or manufacturing, and a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a key leadership or management role.
Requirements:
- MBA graduate or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience in operations management
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting practices
- Excellent strategic problem-solving and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles
- Practical understanding of safety systems and policies
- Experience in LVHV manufacturing environment, plastics manufacturing, and sales and marketing
