About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Leicestershire County Council as a key stakeholder member of the senior management team. As a senior leader and strategic advisor, you will be responsible for the provision of professional expertise and advice on all communication and marketing matters, supporting key strategic priorities of the Council and the mitigation of strategic and key risks.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong track record in developing and applying a corporate brand, maintaining a high level of awareness of current and emerging political, social, economic and communication developments/trends, and leading and developing a team of communications professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy that aligns with the Council's priorities and objectives.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior leaders and stakeholders on communication and marketing matters.
  • Lead and develop a team of communications professionals to deliver a cohesive, effective and integrated communication and marketing campaign.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of current and emerging political, social, economic and communication developments/trends to identify new and emerging initiatives relevant to drive a positive reputation.
