Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and compassionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Cardiac Day Unit. The unit is expanding, and this is an excellent time to join our team in the development of the existing 6-bedded Cardiac Day Unit with a new radial lounge and two Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories, where a wide range of procedures are performed, including primary angioplasty.
You will work collaboratively with cardiologists and provide exceptional care to both NHS and private patients undergoing procedures such as transoesophageal echo and cardioversions. We encourage and support training and development opportunities for all our staff.
The post holder will work under the indirect supervision of the nurse team leader and undertake tasks and duties delegated by the nurse team leaders or a suitably qualified regulated professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Cardiac Day Unit
- Work collaboratively with the cardiology team to meet the needs of patients
- Follow policy and procedures to ensure safe and effective care

Person Specification:
- Diploma in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (Level 1)
- ENB 998 or equivalent
- Previous experience at Band 5
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, relatives, and the multi-disciplinary team in English
- Ability to write clearly and legibly in English
- Competency in IV drug administration
- Knowledge of the role of a Band 5 Staff Nurse
- Knowledge of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
- Knowledge of the Data Protection Act
Special Circumstances:
- Ability to work required shift pattern
