The electrical maintenance team at Breedon Group plc plays a vital role within the operational support department, ensuring the safety and advancement of the electrical infrastructure to facilitate the company's activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety:
- Consistently prioritize safety for yourself and your colleagues
- Utilize and uphold risk assessments and method statements
- Conduct dynamic assessments at points of work
- Identify safety concerns and take initiative to address them whenever feasible
- Engage in and contribute to safety briefings
Duties:
- Perform multi-disciplinary electrical engineering maintenance tasks
- Safeguard and uphold the electrical integrity of the site-wide network
- Execute scheduled maintenance inspections and corrective actions on fixed and rotating equipment
- Conduct electrical inspections, testing, and maintenance to maintain high safety standards
- Experience with Control & Instrumentation systems, predictive and preventative maintenance of large motors and drive systems, and medium voltage networks
- Exhibit a solid understanding of electrical maintenance methodologies and techniques
- Adhere to schedules, procedures, and maintain precise documentation
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
- (1) Qualifications:
- Health & Safety certifications (IOSH Working Safely, ISO Standards, etc.)
- Electrical Engineering qualifications such as City & Guilds certifications and 18th Edition Wiring Regulation Certificate
- Additional preferred certifications include HV Operational Safety Training and combined initial verification, periodic inspection, testing & reporting
- (2) Experience:
- Proven relevant experience in electrical and Control & Instrumentation fields, ideally in a heavy industrial setting
- (3) Skills/Knowledge:
- Proficiency in electrical isolation, working with variable speed drives and PLCs, gas analysis systems, and IT systems
- (4) Personal Attributes & Behaviours:
- Self-driven, dependable, adaptable, and resilient
- Strong team player with a positive mindset, integrity, and problem-solving capabilities
