Job Title: Lecturer in Project Management

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lecturer in Project Management to join our academic team at Global Banking School. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, deliver, and assess student work to ensure all learning outcomes are met.
  2. Develop, update, and improve course materials as required.
  3. Use a variety of learning and teaching methods, including live online learning.
  4. Attend meetings to contribute to decision-making and develop working relationships within the team.
  5. Participate in staff development activities and peer observations.
  6. Understand and support student needs to ensure they receive the necessary guidance.
  7. Meet performance management objectives for student outcomes, satisfaction, retention, and attendance.
  8. Undertake administrative duties as agreed with the line manager.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  1. An honours degree in construction management, project management, or equivalent, with qualifications at least at Master's level in a relevant subject area.
  2. Previous lecturing experience for similar courses.
  3. Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  4. Experience teaching in the wider subject area.
  5. Experience with distance learning and supporting learners online and face-to-face.
  6. Professional conduct in all interactions with staff and students.
  7. Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
  8. A commitment to personal and professional development.
  9. Attention to detail and accurate reporting.
  10. Ability to maintain thorough and organised student records.
  11. Ability to work under pressure, plan, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  12. Highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  13. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  1. Knowledge and experience of teaching construction management with a focus on building information modelling (BIM) and digital technologies at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  2. Postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. Higher Education teaching).
  3. Experience in facilitating computer-aided design workshops.
  4. Experience in developing academic or professional education programmes.
  5. Full membership of CIOB or an equivalent body.
