Job Title: Multi Trade Operative

We are seeking a skilled Multi Trade Operative to join our team at Daniel Owen Ltd. As a key member of our Property Services department, you will be responsible for providing reactive and planned maintenance across our portfolio of properties in East London.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, with City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 qualifications. You will also possess a full UK driving licence and a basic DBS check. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £18.00 - £19.00 per hour, plus benefits including 25 days annual leave and an on-call rota system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out reactive maintenance to the buildings fabric, including tasks such as changing/repairing taps, finding leaks and repairing/replacing pipes, easing and adjusting doors, adjusting door closers, lock changing, etc.
  • Water temperature checks and daily plant room checks
  • Painting and decorating
  • General wear and tear maintenance (filling of holes/retouching, patch plastering)
  • Changing lamps
  • Replacing sockets
Requirements:
  • Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points or a driving ban within the last 3 years)
  • City & Guilds OR NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing
  • Basic DBS Check
Benefits:
  • 25 days annual leave (including the ability to increase up to 30 days)
  • On-call rota system (£75 per week standby and overtime paid at a minimum of 2 hours per call at either time and a half or double time if a Sunday or bank holiday, and a day off in lieu if you are on rota for a bank holiday)
