About the Role

The Isle of Wight Council is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to fill the exciting new position of Elections and Local Land Charges Officer (Career Graded). This is a rare opportunity to gain valuable experience at the heart of the Council's democratic and regulatory process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise electoral registration and assist with running local and UK-wide elections
  • Ensure searches of local authority property databases are carried out to the highest standards
  • Contribute to the team's efforts to maximise electoral registration and ensure the smooth running of elections

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 GCSEs, including English Language and Mathematics, at a minimum of Grade C/4
  • Education to A-Level, Level 3 qualifications, or equivalent level of work experience
  • Ability to interpret maps at various scales (desirable)
