Mechanical and Electrical Estimator Opportunity

Winner Recruitment is working with a forward-thinking service provider to recruit an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Estimator to oversee pricing of maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of mechanical and electrical assets across commercial and retail properties nationwide.

About the Role

As an Mechanical and Electrical Estimator, you will travel across different sites providing detailed estimates for facilities management services, including M&E, general building maintenance, and mechanical and electrical services. You will review project specifications, tender documents, and site conditions to assess the scope of work, analyse drawings, technical documents, and site surveys to quantify required material, labour, and subcontract services, and collaborate with project managers, facilities managers, and other FM teams to gather relevant information for pricing.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for potential cost-saving and propose alternative solutions
  • Prepare and submit relevant documents such as tender documents, pricing schedules, proposals, and supporting documentation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold relevant technical qualifications such as City & Guilds/NVQ in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, have strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building services, and be able to use estimation software and Microsoft Office applications. You must also have excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under deadlines.
