Senior Payments Manager

Our client, a leading fintech platform, is seeking a seasoned Senior Payments Manager to join their Payment Operations team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the Payments Team in scaling existing payment volumes and defining payment processing strategies for new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Payments Team in processing internal transactions between virtual and transactional accounts.
  • Manage team day-to-day work, ensuring risks are escalated to the Head of Cash and Head of Payments.
  • Mentor the payments team and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-training.
  • Review manual reconciliations daily to align platform and client account balances.
  • Identify and rectify issues, with further root cause analysis to provide feedback on training, process changes, or technical development.
  • Monitor and allocate teams' workload, adapting to changing requirements.
  • Contribute to process and technology changes to benefit the team, bank relationships, and overall processes.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of the clearing and settlement cycles for UK domestic payment schemes.
  • Understanding of MS Excel and manual Excel reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services firms' compliance with APP rules and CoP.
