Support Worker for SEMH Students

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the classroom and provide one-on-one support to students with SEMH needs.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement tailored learning plans based on individual student needs.
- Support students with personal care and life skills development as needed.
- Maintain strong communication with staff, parents, and external professionals.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment to support students' emotional well-being.
- Previous experience working with students or in a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) setting.
- Experience working with students with SEMH challenges.
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to managing challenging behaviour.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to engage with students and staff.
- A genuine commitment to supporting the educational and emotional needs of students with SEMH.
