RPS Group is looking for an experienced Trainee Water Asset Engineer to join their Water Operations Division in Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career in the water industry and gain hands-on experience in leakage detection and resolution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of leakage reduction by using their expertise to resolve complex operational issues. You will work closely with the Team Leader to identify and implement effective solutions to reduce leakage on our clients' network.

This is a great first step into a career in the water industry, and full training and one-to-one mentorship will be provided. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will work Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:30 plus overtime, bonus, and benefits, and pays real living wage. You will also be allocated a company van.

About the Role:

  • You will assess, diagnose, and determine the most appropriate solution to reduce leakage and fully support the delivery of regulatory targets.
  • Ensure that Health and Safety is maintained.
  • Train and mentor assistant leakage technicians.
  • Form and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and the client.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.

Key Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience in leakage detection and resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible attitude towards working hours.
