Senior Freight Analyst - Freight Markets

Argus Media is a leading independent media organisation with a global presence, providing news, analysis, and price information to commodities and energy markets.

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Analyst to join our expanding Freight team in London, covering tanker, dry bulk, and LPG freight markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce daily price assessments, market commentaries, news, analysis, and reports to inform the market.
  • Monitor and assess markets to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop an understanding of relevant commodity markets and work with other Argus teams to produce joint content.
  • Regularly communicate with key industry members, including traders, brokers, and business leaders to build relationships and gather news.
  • Contribute to the development of new pricing tools for the freight market and help promote the use of Argus price assessments.
Requirements:
  • A strong degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven ability to develop, source, and write industry-relevant news to deadline.
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to use data in generating stories and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to network and build contacts with industry executives.
