About the Role

Kpler is seeking a skilled Freight Market Data Analyst to join our Dry Bulk Business Unit. As a key member of our Market Data Analyst team, you will be responsible for advancing our Dry Freight services by providing accurate and reliable data to our clients.

Your mission will be to own quality, deliver improvements, generate insight, maximize client engagement, and nurture contacts in the Dry Freight industry.

We are looking for a candidate with a graduate degree in a Quantitative discipline and a minimum of 3 years of experience as an analyst covering the freight market. You should have proven experience working with large, disparate, and/or unstructured data sets and be comfortable integrating data and highlighting trends to support decisions.

If you have a passion for data analysis and a strong understanding of seaborne dry bulk trade flows, key commercial players, and market drivers, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Own Quality: Maintain high data accuracy and timeliness, correlating key events and trends in the freight markets with Kpler data.
  2. Deliver Improvements: Provide market-informed feedback and strategic guidance to engineers, driving the development of innovative freight-focused product features and enhancements.
  3. Generate Insight: Uncover meaningful patterns, detect trend disruptions in data, and maintain continuous dialogue.
  4. Maximize Client's Engagement: Partner with sales and customer success teams to meet clients' data needs, delivering rapid, insightful analyses for ad-hoc requests.
  5. Nurture contacts in the Dry Freight industry: Build and leverage a wide network of industry contacts.
