About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Development Therapist to join our team at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Speech and Language Expert, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments and diagnostic services for children with social communication difficulties/autistic spectrum disorders.

Located in Crewe, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with the Community Paediatricians and Diagnostic pathway navigators to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to ASC diagnosis. With excellent peer support from our experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Team, you will have access to comprehensive training and development opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

  1. To provide high-standard SALT assessments and diagnostic services for children with social communication difficulties/autistic spectrum disorders.
  2. To work autonomously as a Highly Specialist SLT providing specialist speech and language assessments for children with diverse needs and varying presentations.
  3. To make appropriate and evidence-based recommendations for children and their families.
  4. To communicate effectively with children, families, and professionals, monitoring progress during uni- and multi-disciplinary care.
  5. To provide comprehensive feedback to children, families, and professionals.

Benefits and Salary
