Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and caring Support Worker to assist a teenage girl with Asperger's in accessing activities and daily life. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotional support, supervision, and encouragement to help her build confidence and independence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Accompany the individual on days out and activities in the community.
  • Supervise and support her during social interactions and events.
  • Use strategies to encourage and distract her when feeling anxious or uncertain.
  • Set clear boundaries and expectations of behavior while in her company.
  • Encourage appropriate social interactions with peers and adults.
Requirements
  • Reliable and trustworthy individual with a caring attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and understanding when dealing with individuals with autism.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check and provide references.
