Job Title: Transport & Balancing Operator – Energy

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport & Balancing Operator to join our team at SEFE Energy. As a key member of our Logistics desk, you will play a crucial role in understanding and reducing costs associated with imbalance and transportation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize strong data skills to review nominations allocation and imbalance positions, identifying any issues causing profit leakage.
  • Become an expert on capacity to ensure efficient pricing and identify optimization possibilities.
  • Collaborate across Portfolio Management, Sales, Risk, and Finance teams to mitigate risks and identify opportunities to add value.
  • Work with internal teams on clean energy certificate exposures and approach to balancing certificates to regulatory/legal requirements.
Requirements:
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and adept at managing competing priorities.
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills and ability to communicate effectively with a wide audience.
  • Entrepreneurial in nature and display dedication to quantitative rigour.
  • Experience in the natural gas, power, and emissions market.
  • Understanding of market regulation and compliance (desirable).
  • Fluency in English with another foreign language (desirable).
  • Capability of coding in Python (desirable).
  • Proficiency in visual tools (Power BI / Tableau) (desirable).
