Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
Academics Ltd is an outstanding SEN school in Bradford seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support children with complex needs such as Autism and PMLD. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary:£28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with SEN to reach their full potential. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children with SEN to develop their skills and achieve their Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborating with teachers to plan engaging activities that cater to different learning styles.
- Maintaining a safe environment by adhering to school behaviour strategies.
- Caring for children who require assistance with movement and handling.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting children with complex needs.
