Job Title: Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Howden, A Chart Industries Company. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of our rotating equipment machinery across various customer sites in the UK and occasionally overseas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to company environmental, health, and safety standards in compliance with company policies.
  • Travel to customer sites to perform routine service, repair, installation, and commissioning of rotating equipment.
  • Prepare and issue all documentation related to on-site activities, including daily reports, visit reports, site communications, time-sheets, and commissioning documents.
  • Carry out on-site analysis of machinery and provide condition reports to drive additional business through service upgrades and spare parts requirements.
  • Interact and respond to all aspects of the business, supporting SHE, efficiency, delivery, and quality improvements.
Requirements:
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience gained through working in a rotating machinery industry.
  • Significant experience of working in a mechanical environment/industrial sites, preferably in the Waster Water, PCOG, and Power Industry.
  • Time Management.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to self-manage in remote locations.
  • Frequent travel within the UK and worldwide.
