We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Training Tutor to join our dynamic team at Newport Youth Academy. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in empowering young people aged 16-24 to achieve their full potential.

Our unique approach combines practical work placements, enrichment activities, and personalized support to ensure learners receive a holistic development experience.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging training programs that promote positive learner progression.
- Plan and assess learning processes, working collaboratively with learners to achieve their goals.
- Recruit and enroll young people into our transformative training programs.
- Conduct inductions, welcome new learners, and complete eligibility documentation.
- Facilitate personal development workshops, fostering growth and development in learners.
- Deliver qualifications, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including partners, employers, and support agencies, for effective program referrals.
- Support and motivate learners, building positive relationships to encourage them to reach their full potential.
- Monitor performance, managing contractual targets and ensuring compliance.
- Review outcomes, conducting regular reviews to monitor program effectiveness.
- Education: Minimum NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject; PTLLS, IAG, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience: Proven experience in educational pathway delivery, working with vulnerable learners, and developing course materials.
- Skills: Effective written and oral communication, excellent organizational skills, ability to manage challenging behaviors, and a team player with initiative.
- Team Support: Encourage and support team members, sharing best practices and fostering a positive attitude towards change.
- Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and handle challenging conversations confidently.
- Initiative and Feedback: Use initiative to follow procedures and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Personal Development: Reflect honestly on personal style and its impact on others, adapting as necessary.
