General Ledger Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our MMC EMEA accounting operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, as well as identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the team manager in reviewing regional tasks and improvement initiatives
- Work with the EMEA accounting operations team to identify areas of efficiency and implement changes to improve processes
- Lead various reporting, dashboard, and change initiatives for the EMEA Accounting Operations team
- Assist with other ad-hoc tasks, projects, and initiatives as required
- Perform monthly Balance Sheet quality reviews according to the global standard
- Communicate with Accounting Operation Teams regarding findings and improvement areas for Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Assist operations teams in Balance Sheet cleansing activity
- In-depth knowledge and experience within General Ledger or similar
- Experience presenting, coaching, or delivering training to teams
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and deliver results to short timescales
