Job Title: Part Time Team Leader Weekends

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part Time Team Leader to join our team in Aberdeen. As a Part Time Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and contributing to the provision of quality services to meet the needs of our service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and contribute to the provision of quality services to meet the needs of service users.
  • Monitor the effective use of staffing resources.
  • Communicate effectively with individual staff members and service users on a wide range of matters.
  • Oversee and participate in the maintenance of accurate recording systems and reports.
  • Monitor the provision of a safe and protective environment.
  • Support service users in their daily living and provide personal care where necessary.
  • Encourage and support service users to develop skills and knowledge to live as independently as possible.
  • Perform the role of key worker for the service user.
  • Comply with and have a sound working knowledge of necessary legislative requirements.
  • Support service users in accessing and using services and facilities.
  • Take the lead in planning, monitoring and reviewing service delivery plans.
  • Support service users and staff appropriately when they experience a significant life change or loss.
  • Allocate work to teams and individuals to meet agreed operational objectives.
  • Conduct assessments of staff performance in accordance with VSA's appraisal/supervision procedures.
  • Contribute to the identification of the training and development needs of teams and individual staff members.
  • Help to maintain an effective working environment by contributing towards the management of interpersonal conflict in working relationships.
  • Assist in the implementation of disciplinary and grievance procedures where appropriate.
  • Develop one's knowledge and practice continuously through participation in training and development activities.
Requirements:
  • SCQF Level 6 in Social Services & Healthcare or other options as prescribed by SSSC.
  • Ability and willingness to complete SCQF Level 7 in Social Services & Healthcare + 15 academic credits in Supervision and / or Management at SCQF Level 7.
  • To comply with the registration and qualification requirements as laid down by the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) and to strictly adhere to the SSSC Codes of Practice.
