Job Description


As a Community Empowerment Specialist at Spurgeons, you will lead and implement our Boys2Men programme and BeLeave (Girls in Gangs) project. Your primary responsibility will be to provide positive role modelling and mentorship to children and young people aged 12-18, facilitating life skills, emotional intelligence and leadership abilities.

About You
To excel in this role, you will require:
  • A qualification in youth, youth justice, community or family support work.
  • Experience of working with children and young people who are facing challenges.
  • An approachable, confident and persuasive nature to engage and connect with children and young people.
  • A strong listener, with empathy and dependability.
  • An organised team player, driven to work in collaboration to bring about the very best outcomes for the community you serve.
