Job Description

Care Assistant responsibilities:

As a Care Assistant with Home Instead, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality, person-focused care to our clients. With minimum 1 hour care visits and client matching, you will have the time to build meaningful relationships and make a real difference in their lives.

Your duties may include:

  • Companionship - ensuring our clients enjoy regular and meaningful social interaction
  • Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming
  • Help with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and light housework
  • Accompanying to appointments or shopping

It is essential to be a driver with access to a vehicle insured in your name with Class A Business Insurance.

Qualifications

Formal care experience is not required, but experience is welcomed. We need you to care for others and be happy in your career. We need you to help us support our clients by providing the highest quality of care so that they can continue to live safe, well and as independently as possible in their own homes.

We, as a company, will care for you. It is essential to have GCSE level English or equivalent. It is essential to be resident within Salford (non-Salford postcodes will fall into other Home Instead Office's territories).

Formal care experience is not required - we provide full training. Your passion for taking care of someone else, being friendly whilst staying professional and your references will show that you are dependable, trust-worthy and respectful.

IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLICATION - Our Care Assistants are required to work at least 2 evenings and alternative weekends. Core hours are between 8am- 1pm and 4.45pm - 9.30pm, although there is potential to increase hours beyond these times.

You must be over 18.
