Senior Technical Underwriter

Get Recruited (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Underwriter to join their team. As a key member of the underwriting team, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of complex risks that fall outside the standard model.

The Opportunity

Our client is a leading insurance underwriting service in the UK, known for their fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a Senior Technical Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in securing new business and retaining renewals for large-scale Property and Liability risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage broker accounts alongside Key Account Managers
  • Serve as a technical referral point for scheme business
  • Lead the launch and embedding of new products
  • Contribute to product development and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • DipCII Qualified
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Commercial Underwriting - ideally with a focus on Property
  • Flexibility and resilience - the ability to multi-task and turn deadlines around quickly
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
  • Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills
