Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of UX Design to lead our global user experience team at Induction Healthcare Group PLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our user experience strategy and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of usability and accessibility.

About the Role

The Head of UX Design will be responsible for:

  • Leading the global UX team: Coaching and developing the professional growth of the individuals within the team, setting professional standards for the UX function, and putting in place the right processes and tooling to drive excellence.
  • Developing user experience strategy: Defining, monitoring, and improving relevant team KPIs, and providing management reporting as required.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Building effective working relationships with Product Management, Business Analysis, Engineering, Delivery, and Quality Assurance teams to help deliver our product strategy and roadmap.
  • Ensuring design excellence: Ensuring that designs delivered by the UX team reflect healthcare-specific considerations, particularly in relation to clinical safety and information governance, and can be implemented in a way that conforms to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility criteria.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience managing all aspects of product design processes, preferably for a B2B SaaS product.
  • Proven experience building and leading high-performing UX teams.
  • Strong practitioner experience of user research, UX design, UI design, and content writing.
  • Experience of designing healthcare software products is a plus.
  • Understanding of public healthcare systems, funding, and processes is a plus.

  • Strong UX/UI design skills.
  • Proven team leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – in-person, on video, asynchronously – with people at all levels.
  • Able to work effectively with remote teams split across time zones.
  • Strong business acumen and commercially astute.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and coordinating skills.
  • Open-minded and positive attitude – able to learn and adapt from feedback – and incorporate multiple perspectives into decision-making processes.
