About the Role

University of the Arts London is seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to drive the development of user-centric digital experiences for our students and staff. As the Head of UX, Research and Design, you will lead and grow a team of UX, Service and UI Designers and User Researchers to create seamless and intuitive digital products that support our teaching and learning, web platforms, and student support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and integrate user-centered design standards and processes within an agile product environment
  • Lead and manage teams, coaching and mentoring team members to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Utilize a diverse range of qualitative and quantitative user research methods to translate insights into improvements
  • Manage senior-level stakeholders, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work with external partners and suppliers
Requirements
  • Proven track record of establishing and improving user-centered design standards and processes
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience in coaching and mentoring team members
  • Experience in utilizing a diverse range of user research methods to drive design improvements
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with experience working with external partners and suppliers
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary package of circa £75,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Initial 3-year fixed-term contract
  • 34 days annual leave plus public holidays
