Peatland Programme Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communications and Engagement Lead to join our team at The Wildlife Trusts. As a key member of our Peatland Programme team, you will play a critical role in promoting the benefits of healthy peatlands to a national audience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to raise awareness of the importance of peatlands and the work of the Peatland Programme.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external contacts and partners to identify opportunities and build the Programme's reach.
- Lead the production of communications materials, including design and messaging, to promote the benefits of peatlands.
- Assist with advocacy work and plan and deliver events, such as online workshops and conferences.
- Support the wider Peatland Programme team in networking, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and producing resources such as briefings and web content.
- Experience of designing publications, creating digital content, and managing social media accounts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Passion for communicating the importance of peatlands and the work of the Peatland Programme.
