The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mentoring and Employment Support Officer to join our team at Novax Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16 to 24 who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET).

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver a comprehensive and effective mentoring and employability service, working closely with local youth and community organisations to identify and engage with young residents who are furthest from the labour market and experiencing multiple forms of disadvantage.

You will adopt a person-centred approach, working closely with each young person to develop their confidence and skills, ensuring they are consulted and empowered as the co-designer of their support plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a high-quality mentoring and employability service to support young people aged 16 to 24 who are NEET.
  • Work closely with local youth and community organisations to identify and engage with young residents who are furthest from the labour market.
  • Develop and implement effective support plans in collaboration with each young person.
  • Provide guidance and support to help young people develop their confidence and skills.
  • Work closely with other agencies to ensure a seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of the current and developing national context in which Careers information advice and guidance for young adults (16-24 years old) sits.
  • Enhanced DBS is desirable.
