Engineering Technician Apprentice Level 3 - Services – a career-defining opportunity

The role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Engineering Fitter apprentice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing products that are revolutionizing the world of vacuum.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing an understanding of workshop equipment and techniques
  • Learning how to service our pumps by carrying out checks and maintenance
  • Applying safe systems of working, including electrical safety testing
  • Applying proven techniques and procedures to solve engineering/manufacturing problems

Training and Qualification

You will receive continuous training and development through our collaboration with East Surrey College. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will obtain a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Engineering.

Career Progression

Upon successful completion of this scheme, you could be offered a Service Engineer role with our in-house team, with the potential to move out into the field or within the wider Atlas Copco Group.

Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent, including Mathematics, English and a Science
  • A passion for engineering and a strong interest in learning and growing as a service engineer
  • Good timekeeping and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Good communication skills and the ability to understand and follow instructions
