Salary

The salary for this role is £45,039 - 56,937 per annum, depending on experience, plus a High Cost Area Allowance.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team, delivering child health programmes in partnership with children's centers, schools, GPs, social care organisations, and voluntary agencies.

You will work largely independently, but with the support of a multi-disciplinary team, assessing the health needs of individuals and involving clients and carers in meeting those needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining good working relationships with other agencies, statutory and voluntary
  • Liaising with clients, relatives, and other professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Monitoring the health of children under five years old and promoting optimum health and development
  • Acting as a health resource to other agencies and responding to local health needs

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Registered Health Visitor Specialist Practice Qualification
  • Experience or equivalent working as a Health Visitor, ideally with knowledge of safeguarding and legislation relating to children's health services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively
