Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team as a Maintenance Specialist in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining hydraulics, valve pumps, gearboxes, and motors, as well as fault-finding bespoke machinery in an automated setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installing and maintaining mechanical equipment
  • Fault-finding and repairing machinery
  • Working in a three-shift rotation with optional overtime available
About the Company

Our client is a leading manufacturer in the timber production industry, established over 150 years ago. They offer a unique opportunity for an Ex-Force engineer or similar to gain expert training and become a fully qualified Maintenance Engineer.

Requirements
  • Mechanical Fitter or similar experience
  • Industrial or manufacturing background
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Benefits

The salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, plus benefits including progression opportunities, training, and optional overtime. Located in Carlisle, Cumbria, this position offers a competitive salary and a chance to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
