About the Job

This position involves conducting assessments under Sections 17 and 47, developing and implementing plans to support children at risk, and providing guidance and support to families. You will work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting vulnerable children.

Key Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong assessment and planning skills, with the ability to identify the needs of children and develop effective strategies to address these needs.
  • Knowledge of child protection procedures and legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and subsequent amendments.
  • Experience of working with children and families in a social care setting, preferably within a child protection context.
