Job Title: Associate Programme Manager

Richmond Capital is seeking an experienced Associate Programme Manager to join our team. As a key member of our programme management team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering programmes of varying complexity in the health and life sciences sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project and programme delivery strategies, plans, and budgets
  • Design and set up project and programme delivery organisations and governance arrangements
  • Establish and maintain effective systems, processes, and tools to be used throughout delivery lifecycles
  • Monitor and report on programme or project progress and status or other performance indicators including risks and issues threatening successful delivery
  • Prepare and present written project/programme formal reports, and other communication materials for a variety of audiences
  • Manage and co-ordinate teams including client, designers, end-users
  • Attend and chair meetings, co-ordinate meeting content and chairs briefings, draft meeting notes etc.
  • Lead or contribute to the development, management, and authorship of client's business cases (to include Strategic Outline Cases, Outline Business Cases and Full Business Cases), helping to shape compelling project narratives in a robust manner, compliant with HM Treasury, and sectoral or national guidance
  • Manage and prepare tenders including bid documentation
  • Proactively monitor progress to ensure that all commissions are managed in line with Company values, standing financial instructions, and industry good practice, and in compliance with appropriate legislation, statutory approvals and mandatory standards
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase client base through market research and analysis
  • Development of client services and expansion of business opportunities in existing and new sectors
Requirements:
  • Must have UK consultancy experience within the health and life science sector
  • An understanding of working with public and private sector clients and the associated governance, approvals, and assurance processes to be navigated
  • Strong behavioural and technical leadership skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end delivery life cycle for project and programmes
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity with a track record of providing solutions and resolving problems in uncertain environments
  • Experience of developing new and existing services for clients
  • Successful track record of securing new business and attracting new clients
  • Excellent written verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable experience in acting as the Lead Project or Programme Manager
  • Understanding of capital and procurement protocols
  • Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level in a relevant field
  • Membership of a relevant chartered institute in the construction and/or project/programme management industry
  • Hold relevant qualifications
  • Achieved or working towards a relevant chartership
