We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Briggs Equipment Ltd. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Attend customer locations to assess and agree on work priorities, ensuring safe working practices are adhered to.
- Liaise with customers and internal teams to provide clarity on expected work, timescales, and costs.
- Identify root causes of equipment breakdowns and obtain necessary parts in a cost-effective manner.
- Ensure all work complies with engineering standards and relevant specifications.
- Carry out inspections and checks on own work, ensuring equipment performs satisfactorily and is safe before handing back to customers.
- Identify additional work required on equipment and inform customers, maximizing potential revenue.
- Complete job and service documentation accurately, obtaining necessary signatures and documents from customers.
- Relevant technical qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Ability to manage and prioritize workload
- Understanding of customer needs
- Base salary up to £36,209 per annum, based on a 40-hour working week
- Additional pay increase signed off for July 2024
- Overtime payable at x1.5 Monday-Saturday and x2 on Sunday
- Vehicle available for private use, with tax to be paid
