Job Title: Systems Safety Engineer

Thales is seeking a highly skilled Systems Safety Engineer to join our team in Templecombe, UK. As a key member of our Land and Air Systems (LAS) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our products.

About the Role:
  • Lead and manage safety-related activities within bids and projects to ensure compliance with international standards and regulations.
  • Conduct hazard analysis, risk evaluation, and develop safety and environmental requirements for IAS products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project and product teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and implementation of safety measures.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of relevant safety and environmental standards and regulations.
  • Plan and estimate the cost of project safety engineering activities.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in a safety engineering role within an engineering environment.
  • Good working knowledge of product safety standards and legislation.
  • Broad knowledge of product safety engineering and environmental management practices.
  • Ability to define and implement sound engineering design principles and methodology.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
