Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Typist/Admin Clerk to join our team at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have excellent administrative skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment. As a Medical Typist/Admin Clerk, you will be responsible for typing letters from outpatient clinics, performing clerical tasks, and providing administrative support to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Typing of correspondence and other documents as required
  • Performing general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and answering phones
  • Audio typing clinics and uploading sensitive information onto patient records
  • Covering colleagues during absences or leave
  • Maintaining equipment and reporting any issues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure. You should also be proficient in using computer software and have experience in audio typing.

Working Environment

The postholder will work across sites between Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital, subject to service needs. This is a great opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic and successful organisation.

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
