Role Purpose

The Scottish Borders Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their Supported Employment team as an Employment Support Worker.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting and helping individuals with additional barriers to find and sustain paid employment throughout the Borders using a variety of supported interventions, including:

• Employability training
• CV writing
• Mock interviews
• Job applications
• Employer engagement
• Work placements
• Job tasters

The ideal candidate will be committed to giving excellent customer service, communicate effectively, work well with others, and have the ability to take personal responsibility.

Essential

• Educated to relevant SCQF Level 5 or significant relevant experience
• A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.*

Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for disabilities.
