Electroplating Technician

At Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services UK, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Trainee Electroplater to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake surface preparation by Grit Blasting techniques to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Electroplate components requiring Cadmium plating, adhering to strict safety and environmental regulations.
- Assist in the Alocrom process, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
- Contribute to the maintenance of Practical Experience Record (PER) books and participate in training personnel as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures.
- GCSE level or equivalent education.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Previous experience working within an engineering facility, with knowledge of PPE and overhead cranes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good planning, organisation, and administration skills.
- Flexibility to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including weekends.
- Right to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
The role requires standing for prolonged periods, with regular breaks, and involves lifting heavy aircraft components. Full training will be provided, and mandatory training will be required.
