Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to oversee a section of our assembly process for systems and vehicles. This role involves supporting the Production Supervisor with day-to-day management, ensuring efficient operation, quality standards, and a safe working culture.

Main Responsibilities
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to Workplace Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Directly impact SQCDP metrics (safety, quality, cost, delivery, people) and escalate non-adherence if required.
  • Ensure efficient start-up and end-of-shift routines to achieve daily KPIs.
  • Monitor working standards, coaching the team to improve processes and abilities.
  • Maintain local area standards through housekeeping and best practice working.
  • Provide support and input into continuous improvement activities within the team and wider business.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Substantial experience in vehicle body building, mechanical fitting, or equivalent trade.
  • Competence in Manufacturing and Assembly processes and techniques.
  • Competence in reading engineering drawings and associated data.
  • Experience in training individuals is desirable.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Proactive leadership style with the ability to use initiative and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of leading a team of production operatives.
  • Ability to interact with all members of the team and at all levels within the business.
