Job Title: Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team at First Military Recruitment Ltd. As a Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy mobile cranes to ensure their reliable performance and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy mobile cranes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in cranes.
  • Adhere to service schedules and follow maintenance checklists to ensure comprehensive and thorough servicing of the cranes.
  • Replace faulty or worn-out parts with new ones, ensuring the use of high-quality components to maintain the crane's integrity.
  • Conduct testing and calibration procedures on crane components to verify accurate functioning.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure that all maintenance and repairs are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in maintaining and servicing heavy plant machinery, preferably including mobile cranes.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in heavy plant mechanics or a related field are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
  • A commitment to adhering to safety protocols and ensuring the safe operation of the cranes.
