Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team at First Military Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy mobile cranes to ensure their reliable performance and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on heavy mobile cranes to ensure their reliable performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in cranes, employing sound technical knowledge to identify and rectify problems efficiently.
  • Adhere to service schedules and follow maintenance checklists to ensure comprehensive and thorough servicing of the cranes.
  • Replace faulty or worn-out parts with new ones, ensuring the use of high-quality components to maintain the cranes' performance and safety.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in mobile heavy plant maintenance and repair.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driving license and ability to travel extensively throughout the UK.
