Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Autism Education Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to deliver exceptional support and care.

About the Job:

  • Provide individualized support to students with autism, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support students in developing life skills, including personal care, communication, and independence.
  2. Assist teachers in creating and implementing individual education plans, focusing on behavior management strategies and learning objectives.
  3. Participate in regular meetings with the teaching team to discuss student progress and plan future support.

Requirements:

  1. Degree-level qualification in education, childcare, or a related field.
  2. Experience working with children with autism or similar complex needs.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  4. A strong passion for empowering children with complex needs and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
