Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our dynamic and innovative team at Turner & Townsend Group. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will play a key role in delivering ambitious and highly technical projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Maintain Client Relationships

Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and other parties involved in projects and programmes.

Contract Administration

Administer a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies, ensuring accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.

Cost Management and Control

Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.

Project Delivery and Collaboration

Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.

Contract Change Management

Manage contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.

Commercial Knowledge and Support

Proactively provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders, ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.

Leadership and People Management

Lead people and commissions as needed, driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.

Requirements
  • Contract Management

Previous experience or a sound and suitable understanding of contract management, including NEC3 and Option C.

Cost Management

Strong cost management skills, including cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.

Change Management and Control

Ability to manage contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.

Valuation and Procurement

Good knowledge of valuation and procurement, including different procurement routes and value management.

Reporting and Collaboration

Ability to provide accurate and timely reporting, and collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables.

Commission Management

Experience in commission management, including identifying and driving efficiencies and improvements through the project life cycle.

Education and Qualifications

Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, and ideally hold or be working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent.
