About the Role

Oxford Knight is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Researcher to join our systematic trading team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quantitative event-driven strategies to deliver alpha at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain quantitative models and algorithms to identify profitable trading opportunities
  • Collaborate with our Portfolio Manager to design and implement trading strategies
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of market data to identify trends and patterns
  • Design and implement data visualization tools to communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in quantitative research
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a related role
  • Exceptional quantitative skills in the research lifecycle (from signal generation to portfolio construction)
  • Deep-level understanding of statistics and how to apply to real-world problems
  • Expertise in the cash equities space, particularly building alphas
  • High-level programming skills in a language such as Python, or R
  • Degree (ideally PhD) in a quantitative field, e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or Physics, from a top-tier university
  • Proficiency with numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar would be beneficial
